About the project

What does it mean to be a creator? Where does inspiration come from? What is the utility of failure? Using heightened visual storytelling and physical theatre, CROOKED FIGURE examines the origin of genius and the often dangerous power behind the creative process.

CROOKED FIGURE is part of the 2015 Mead Theatre Lab program, a project of CULTURAL DC.

It will be presented as a work-in-progress on February 2nd, 2015 in the Source Theater Rehearsal Room at 7:30pm. This performance will be Pay-what-you-can.

The Mead Theatre Lab Program at Flashpoint, a CulturalDC project, is generously sponsored by The Dallas Morse Coors Foundation for the Performing Arts, the Max & Victoria Dreyfus Foundation, Graham Holdings Company, The Mary & Daniel Loughran Foundation and The Weissberg Foundation.

Funding for CulturalDC is generously provided by Bank of America Charitable Foundation, The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities, The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region, Graham Holdings Company, The Kresge Foundation, the MARPAT Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, Prince Charitable Trusts, The Share Fund of the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region, Nordstrom and many other generous partners.
